The Federal Government (FG) says it will introduce capital grant initiatives to support students with innovative ideas and entrepreneurial skills in addition to the ongoing student loan scheme.
Minister of State for Education, Suwaiba Said Ahmad, disclosed this during the 70th anniversary celebration of Kaduna Polytechnic.
She said the initiative forms part of President Bola Tinubu’s administration’s commitment to empowering young Nigerians through education, innovation and entrepreneurship.
According to the minister, the proposed grants will provide financial support for students with viable ideas to help them develop their innovations and contribute to national development.
Ahmad also commended Kaduna Polytechnic for its contributions to technical and vocational education over the past 70 years, describing the institution as a major pillar in Nigeria’s human capital development.
She further urged students to take advantage of government programmes designed to promote learning, creativity and self-reliance.
