There was a fire incident at a storeroom in the house of representatives section of the National Assembly complex in Abuja on Thursday evening, August 11.
The building houses the offices of the 360 lawmakers, committee hearing rooms, banks, eateries and other offices.
It was gathered that the fire emanated from an electrical spark in one of the smaller offices used as stores on the second floor of the four-storey building.
Fire fighters attached to the National Assembly were on hand to put the fire under control before it spread to other offices.
The door to the small office where the fire started from was broken by the fire fighters to enter the office, according to The Nation.
