The former Secretary to the State Government in Oyo State, Chief Michael Adeniyi Koleosho, has died.
He passed away late on Monday night at the age of 86.
The prominent politician was the Babalaje of Saki, his hometown, and a renowned statesman highly regarded in Oke-Ogun, Oyo State and across Nigeria.
Described as a visionary leader who has made immense contributions to the state, Chief Koleosho was recently honoured by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde.
Earlier this year, Governor Makinde signed into law the bill to rename the Oke-Ogun Polytechnic after Chief Michael Adeniyi Koleosho, who played a significant role in the establishment of the institution in 1981.
Chief Koleosho was also a former National Chairman of the Alliance for Democracy AD), the political party that eventually, through coalitions, grew to become the ruling All Progressives Congress.
