The Plateau State Government has announced the death of Chief Solomon Daushep Lar, the state’s first Executive Governor.
Chief Lar, who was also the first National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) died in a hospital in the United States.
Governor Jonah Jang announced the former PDP Chairman’s transition to newsmen on Wednesday. “He died around 3 am, American time,” Governor Jang said.
Rumours about Chief Solomon Lar’s death had sparked anxiety two days ago when he was placed on life support. He was born in Langtang in April, 1933
