Tito, who posted a final photo on social media just days before his death, was at a shopping center in New Mexico, United States of America (USA) when events took a tragic turn.
According to a press release from the Gallup Police Department ,Tito, who passed away at the age of 70 on Sunday, September 15, experienced a medical emergency at the shopping center earlier that evening.
An officer from the Gallup Police Department was notified around 6:15 p.m on Sunday, September 15, that someone near the American Heritage Plaza needed medical assistance and the officer quickly called for an ambulance.
It was discovered in a local hospital in Gallup, New Mexico that the person needing the medical assistance was Tito Jackson, after he was confirmed dead.
While the police report did not reveal Tito’s cause of death, preliminary investigations are ongoing.
This indicates that investigators are still examining electronic and physical evidence, also witness interviews are continuing.
When news of Tito’s sudden death first emerged, it was initially reported that the Jackson 5 icon had died while driving from New Mexico to Oklahoma, USA.
At that time, his cause of death was not specified.
However, a longtime family friend and former manager of the Jacksons, Steve Manning, suggested that he believed Tito may have suffered a heart attack.
Following the confirmation of Tito’s death, his three sons, Taj, Taryll and TJ Jackson shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, honoring their beloved father’s enduring impact and legacy.

The late Indiana native, born on October 15, 1953, had an extraordinary career throughout his life.
