Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has submitted the names of six individuals, including his former Chief of Staff, Shehu Wada Sagagi, to the Kano State House of Assembly as commissioner-nominees.
The Speaker of the House, Ismail Jibrin Falgore, announced this while reading the governor’s letter during a plenary session. He stated that the nominees’ names were forwarded for screening and confirmation by the House.
The nominees are Shehu Wada Sagagi, Abdulkadir Abdulsalam, Ibrahim A. Waiya, Dr. Isma’il Danmaraya, Ghaddafi Sani Shehu, and Dr. Dahir M. Hashim.
They are scheduled to appear before the House for screening on Tuesday, December 17.
This development comes after Governor Yusuf carried out a significant cabinet reshuffle on Thursday, December 12.
The shake-up led to the removal of the Secretary to the State Government, Abdullahi Baffa Bichi; Chief of Staff, Shehu Wada Sagagi; and five other commissioners from their positions.
