Its Supreme Leader, Smart Olalekan Edwards, during a press conference in Abuja, argued that the decision to allocate the funds was indicative that President Ahmed Tinubu remains a listening leader. The pro-democracy group said it behoves the governors to show compassion by placing the wellbeing of their citizens ahead of other mundane interests in the disbursement of the funds. It described the appointment of former Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, as minister, as an attestation that Tinubu has the large heart to engage competent Nigerians irrespective of political leanings. Expressing optimism that the ex-governor would address the infrastructure deficit in the FCT, the group charged the new ministers to support the President in addressing the nation’s socio-economic challenges. It said: “Ministers, come alive, wake up and rise up. You are 45 of the best among us, do not be a disgrace to us, globally, collectively and Individually. We won’t tolerate failure. “The entire country expects much from you, also the President, and may your reign be prosperous. President Tinubu has played his part, he has both the mandatory role to supervise and be responsible for successes and failures. “We are citizens, we are Natives, and we are his helpers and his followers. Our nation deserves better than the past.
