AY Speaks On Beef with Basketmouth Comedian Ayodeji Richard Makun, popularly known as AY, has finally addressed his long-lasting beef with his fellow comedian, Basketmouth, in an interview with Chude Jideonwo. According to AY, Basketmouth had a lot of events to perform on Saturdays. He would go to one of them and then leave there for others. AY filled in for him in one of them. After the job, AY was not paid, and he needed the money. He asked Basketmouth about it, but was given excuses. AY found out the payment had already been made and forwarded messages between parties that were involved, leading to fighting. PHOTO: Music In Africa Brymo Loses Afrima Award After Petition Over Anti-Igbo Comment Brymo, whose real name is Olawale Ibrahim Ashimi, has talked about why he lost at the 2023 All Africa Music Award (AFRIMA). Over 47,000 Nigerians signed a petition opposing Brymo’s nomination due to his offensive remarks before the presidential election. In an Instagram post, Brymo implied that the petitions had nothing to do with his failure to win the award. Brymo said AFRIMA nominated his song, ‘Esan’, for a songwriting category, but he doesn’t want it because he’s no longer a singer. He was looking forward to the event, but got into trouble speaking about Biafra leaving and staying. Brymo apologised for his tweets but still lost the award to Mali-based, Iba One. ‘Meghan Markle’s Marriage Horribly Gone Wrong’ Brian Cox, a popular 76-year-old actor from ‘Succession’, has commented on Meghan Markle’s marriage to Prince Harry. He stated in an interview with Radio Times that the marriage has been plagued by the monarchy and that the Sussexes are victims of this system.
