Gunmen ambush, kill four military officers in Delta

Delta State is tense following the reported assassination of four military officers in Kwale, Ndokwa West Council, by unknown gunmen.

According to sources, the officers were killed yesterday along Kwale Road, and soldiers have invaded the community in retaliation.

According to reports, the suspected killers ambushed the soldiers, killing three on the spot, another at a hospital, and some who sustained injuries were rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Asaba, the state capital.

When contacted, Army Public Relations Officer Major Y.N. Kabara stated, “I’m not on the ground. I went on a trip. I don’t know exactly what happened there. I’ll find out and get back to you.”
