A number of daring gunmen on Monday attacked the Zaria home of Nigeria’s Vice President, Namadi Sambo, located at Baba Ahmed Road, Tundun Wada in Zaria. Street Journal gathered that the gunmen engaged the policemen guarding the Vice President’s home in a gun duel, wounding two of them in the process.
According to the Kaduna State Police spokesman, Balteh Abdulrazak, “the three gunmen came on a bike and opened fire on the guards at the VP’s home”. A shoemaker around was hit by stray bullets which killed him instantly. The attack occurred around 11.30 am, incidentally, bomb attacks were carried out in Sokoto around that time too.
