Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers, have abducted the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Prof. Olusoga Olusanya, and taken to unknown location.
Olusanya was reportedly abducted on Monday while returning from the campus of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB).
The don had gone to the institution on official assignment.
It is not yet year clear what the abductors want as they have not contacted the don’s family to state their condition for his release from captivity.
The Nation gathered that Olusanya was on his way home on Monday evening, but his vehicle was blocked by the gunmen at the Odogbolu-Ijebu – Ode axis of the Sagamu – Ore expressway.
His driver, who was also abducted along with him, was later dropped by the road side at Odogbolu.
But he is said to be in police custody in Odogbolu.
It would be recalled that unknown gunmen had over the weekend abducted former presifent of the Nigeria Bar Association, Chief Wali in Port-Harcourt. He was yet to be released by his abductors as the time of filling this report
