The Guardian learnt that the attackers stormed the border village, predominantly Tarok-speaking natives of the Bantu of Central Africa, and started shooting sporadically when they had gone to sleep. A villager, Yakubu Busari, whose family house was close to the border, said the attack lasted for two hours, while women and children were major casualties in the mayhem. The witness, who said he could not identify the attackers, urged security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation and arrest the hoodlums to prevent further breakdown of law and order in Kadarko district in Wase Local Council of Plateau State.
