The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, has said it identified some Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs, in Nigeria that are involved in job racketeering.
This is as the commission announced plans to take decisive action against them in the coming days.
Musa Aliyu, the ICPC chairman, disclosed this during a high-level seminar marking the 2024 International Anti-Corruption Day.
Aliyu also highlighted a positive shift among the nation’s youth, noting that many have demonstrated strong resistance to corrupt practices, which he believes bodes well for Nigeria’s future and its pursuit of integrity.
Addressing the issue of sexual harassment in tertiary institutions, he assured that tackling this problem remains a priority for the commission. He expressed confidence that measures are being implemented to eradicate this menace in the near future.
