The youths resolved to take the protest to Owerri, Imo State, following recent killing of some youths returning from a traditional wedding in the state. The youths, who carried placards, some of which read: “We don’t want Ebubeagu in South East,” “Is it a crime to be a youth in Imo?” “Hope Uzodinma should resign immediately for the killing of 21 Igbo youths by Ebubeagu,” “Ebubeagu must go,” “Ebubeagu is a curse in Igbo land,” among others, lamented the spate of killing and kidnap along the Enugu-Port Harcourt highway.
