Daniel Bwala, who serves as President Bola Tinubu’s special adviser on policy communication, has stated that the federal government is preparing to disclose the identities of those funding terrorism in Nigeria.
In a media appearance on Sunday, Bwala explained that authorities are currently taking significant steps to tackle insecurity and that Nigerians will soon begin to see the impact of these efforts.
He described terrorism as an international challenge, stressing that global partnerships are essential for Nigeria’s success in countering extremist networks.
According to him, “Since the wake of 9/11, terrorism became a global issue,” and as a result, counterterrorism has become a shared global responsibility.
Bwala added that extremists have shifted operations across regions: “They were in the Middle East, and gradually they are coming towards the Sahel to create a hub of terrorism. That is why the demand is now on the world governments to see how they can cooperate with Nigeria.”
He further assured that the government is advancing major policy actions, saying, “At home, the government is making far-reaching decisions, and in the coming days we will know who the terrorists and their financiers are.”
