The Israel Defense Forces (IDF), on Wednesday, March 25, carried out airstrikes on two missile production facilities in Tehran linked to the Iranian ministry of defence.
In a statement, the IDF said: “In recent days, the Israeli air force, acting on IDF intelligence, struck two key naval cruise missile production sites in Tehran.”
According to the military, the targeted facilities were involved in developing advanced weapons systems.
The sites produced long-range naval cruise missiles capable of rapidly striking targets at sea and on land.
The IDF described the operation as part of a broader campaign against Iran’s military capabilities, stating: “The strikes represent another step in deepening the damage done to the regime’s military production infrastructure.”
The development follows previous Israeli operations targeting Iranian naval assets.
Last week, the IDF reported that fighter jets struck several Iranian vessels in the Caspian Sea, including ships equipped with anti-submarine missile systems.
The latest airstrikes come amid escalating regional tensions, with both sides continuing to target strategic military infrastructure.
