Though details of the medical emergency were not disclosed, sources told TMZ that Foxx was hospitalised on Tuesday morning and that his family travelled to be with him as his condition was serious. Foxx, who is 55 years old, was in Atlanta filming Back in Action, a Netflix comedy that also stars Cameron Diaz, Andrew Scott, and Jamie Demetriou, and is directed by Seth Gordon. Foxx has had a distinguished career in both film and music, including an Academy Award for Best Actor in 2005 for his performance as Ray Charles in the biopic Ray, and a Grammy Award for his single “Blame It” in 2010.
