BBNaija fans on social media are demanding for the return of the old voting system, the organisers of the Big Brother Naija ‘Lockdown’ edition came under attack over the eviction of housemate Kaisha on Sunday from the reality show.
Many people are of the opinion that their votes does not count since the housemates determine who leaves or stays. With the new voting process, the housemates were told to choose two housemates to be evicted, which had Kaisha out of the house despite being on top of the bottom four with viewers votes at 3.89% unlike Neo, Trikytee and Wathoni.
This did not go down well with Kaisha’s fans who took to their social media pages pouring out their grievances, as they called on organisers of BBNaija to bring back the old voting process.
Currently trending at the number 4 spot on Twitter is the call for the return of the old voting system rather than continue with the current one as fans are displeased over the exit of Kaisha who had more votes than the other three.
In the old voting system, housemates nominated who they wanted to leave the house and fans voted to save nominated housemates. Whoever had the least number of votes was evicted. However, few others are in support of the new voting system.
Kaisha became the 5th housemate to exit the show. However, the new style of eviction doesn’t just depend on the voters but the housemates as well. Fans vote to keep their housemates in the house. This has got a lot of fans displeased as they believe BBNaija is robbing them of the right to save their favourite housemates as their votes no longer count.
Aisha Umaru popularly known as Kaisha is a 25-year-old entrepreneur from Sokoto state. She was one of the housemates in the Lock down season 5 2020 edition of Africa biggest reality TV show Big Brother Naija until yesterday when she was evicted. This adventurous young woman considers herself a great team player who gets along with people. She relies on a healthy diet and is God-fearing.
