Oba AbdulFatai Oyegbemi, the Ojora of Ijora and Iganmu Kingdom in Lagos has removed six chiefs from their positions for attending a Labour Party’s (LP’s) campaign rally.
The traditional ruler made this announcement during a palace meeting stating that the chiefs attended the political event without his approval.
He also accused them of breaching palace protocol by misrepresenting him during the event.
The affected chiefs include Chief Taiwo Hassan (Bale of Oke Ira), Chief Saliu Biliamin (Bale of Alafia Dodoro), and Chief Lateef Ojora (Bale of Alaba Oro).
Others are Chief Idris Ojora (Bale of Abule Kere), Chief Sule Balogun (Balogun of Abule Kere), and Chief Hakeem Oseni (Bale of Mosafejo Amukoko).
Oba Oyegbemi finally noted that the action was taken to preserve order and unity within the traditional leadership system.
