More than 10 feared dead in Enugu auto crash

    0
On Thursday, ten people are feared dead after a collision on the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway between a commercial bus and a cement truck.

The crash happened around 9 a.m. near the CBN Bus Stop in Enugu when an 18-seater bus with the Enugu registration number XL884 ENU collided with an incoming trailer carrying cement bags.
Because of the bad spots on the other lane, the two vehicles were driving on a single lane.

It was reported that road safety officials and bystanders who rushed to the scene pulled at least seven lifeless bodies from the wreckage of the vehicles.
Other unconscious passengers were rushed to a nearby hospital, where medical officials confirmed that more passengers were dead on arrival.
Many blamed the avoidable crash on the poor condition of the road, which forced many motorists to drive one-way.

The police, army, and road safety personnel are already on the ground, directing traffic and preventing a breakdown in the law.
