The popular Yoruba musician, Alhaji Abass Akande, popularly known as Obesere, on Tuesday thrilled PDP supporters at President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign rally in Osogbo.
At the mention of his name, the atmosphere at Freedom Park, venue of the rally became charged, with PDP supporters displaying different dance steps.
Obesere, who is known for his fuji music, ushered in the president and his entourage into the park with one of his popular song.
The excitement among the teeming crowd became more palpable when Obesere praised Jonathan with his songs.
Some PDP supporters at the rally, said the presence of Obesere added more life to the rally.
One of the supporters Mr Kehinde Ilori, said the presence of Obesere attracted more people to the rally because of his popularity.
Miss Rhasidat Ibrahim, who described herself as one of Obesere’s fans, said the presence of the musician added colour to the rally.
