Ogun State Commander of Amotekun Corps, David Akinremi, is dead. He died during a protracted illness. Akinremi, a retired Commissioner of Police (CP), was the pioneer commander of Amotekun Corps. He was appointed by Governor Dapo Abiodun in 2021. Commander of So-Safe Corps (a sister security agency), Soji Ganzallo, who confirmed Akinremi’s death, described it as a rude shock. “The Amotekun Corps, under his watch, worked satisfactorily with other security agents to rid the state of criminals,” he said.
