Owolabi Akinloye Olakulehin has been installed as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The coronation took place at the Labosinde compound, the family entrusted with the authority to crown any Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The ceremony occurred on Friday, July 12.
After the coronation, the new Olubadan immediately proceeded to Ile Osemeji in the Oja Oba area.
Ile Osemeji is considered the place where the future of Ibadan was divined.
The new Olubadan is expected to move from Ile Osemeji to the front of Mapo Hall.
Olakulehin will also receive the staff of office and other instruments of office from the state governor, Seyi Makinde, at any moment.
The new King succeeded the late Oba Sen Lekan Balogun CFR, Alli Okunmade II.
Balogun died in March at the age of 81.
He was the 42nd Olubadan who spent two years on the throne.
Balogun ascended the throne in March 2022 after he was presented with the Staff of Office by Governor Seyi Makinde.
