Chief Bode George, former deputy national chairman (south) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has dismissed reports claiming that he’s willing to work with the administration of President Bola Tinubu if invited.
George, a long standing adversary of Tinubu, noted that he never granted any interview where he specifically revealed what he would do if Tinubu calls him for consultation.
Recall that it was earlier reported that the PDP chieftain recently said that he will gladly work with the administration of President Bola Tinubu if invited to contribute his quota to nation-building.
However, George, while making the clarification on Monday, June 5, said that, “When I was asked, ‘What will you do if Tinubu invites you?’, I only responded by saying that I will pray for the country if he (Tinubu) calls me to be part of his administration.
“I’m not a flip-flopper by any profession. I retired as a General.
“What will Tinubu be calling me for? We don’t even belong to the same party.
“If he calls and says to me, ‘Hello chief, Good morning, and I will reply by saying, ‘Good morning Mr. President,’ but I’ll only refer to him as president after all the cases before the presidential election petition tribunal have been resolved.
“Even when Papa Olusi came, trying to convince me to go and pay a congratulatory visit to him (Tinubu), I declined.
“I have no personal qualms with this gentleman. The only differences we have are purely administrative,” he added.
