A ship loaded with petrol exploded in Lagos on Wednesday. The loud explosion which caused a lot of panic occurred at a storage facility in Apapa. The explosion caused a situation around the ports that made people scamper for safety and some business owners hurriedly closed their shops.
Street Journal gathered that the affected vessel belongs to the MRS Petroleum.
Men of the National Emergency Management Agency and the Fire Service moved to the scene to put the fire under control.
The incident has been confirmed by the National Emergency Management Agency.
Four people were injured in the explosion.
