Bahasa Indonesia (also called Indonesian) is commonly spoken in Bali, but Balinese is a separate language. People in Bali generally learn Balinese as their first language, but many now use Bahasa. Here are some of the beautiful places to visit in Bali: 1. The sea of marigolds: Marigolds fields are one of the most beautiful places in Bali. They are important in Balinese culture these golden blooms are used during all important ceremonies. Although they are grown in areas across Bali’s highlands with plenty or small golden fields lining the roadsides, head towards Besakih, between Kintamani and Bedugul for jaw-dropping marigold fields. The fields here stretch for miles, creating a golden horizon that glitters in the Bali sunshine. 2. The infinity pool at Hanging Gardens of Bali: Crowned the world’s best-swimming pool for multiple years running. The hanging gardens of Bali are the epic centre of exceptional Instagram feeds. This iconic infinity pool seems to defy all laws of gravity, with sky-high trickles above the tree top canopies. Another gravity-defying infinity pool is the glass bottom cliffhanger in Uluwatu. 3. The sunrise view atop Mount Batur: Mount Batur is one of Bali’s spectacular active volcanoes and is easily the most popular trip for a sunrise high. The trip begins early at around 2 am where you will be picked up and taken to the base of Batur for a hike in the dark. By the time you reach the highest peak, the sun would just be rising, which is when the beauty of this island adventure unfolds. You will realize you are right above the cloud, with Bali’s volcanic earthquakes glimmering a golden hue below. 4. The bamboo wonderland at Bambu Indah: Sustainable, eco-friendly and made almost entirely of natural material, Bambu Indah in Ubud is a sight to be seen indeed. You can visit with a day pass and immerse in the utmost nature. Ride the bamboo elevator down through the centre of the gorge and emerge to a wonderland of wild scenery and natural cold springs, coupled with luxurious lolling spots, a riverside and plenty of wildlife. 5. The ray of light at TukadCepung waterfall: Every photographer knows that lighting is everything. It is famous for its heavenly streams of light that burst through the rock right when the sun is at a certain spot in the sky.
