The suspects were paraded by the Commissioner of Police in Edo State Muhammed Dankwara. They were arrested by operatives of the Rapid Respond Squad (RRS) of the Edo State Police Command during an investigation into a case of obtaining money under false pretence. According to the police, the suspects who posed as herbalists met one of their victims along Ugbor road and predicted death in his family unless he cleansed himself spiritually and financially. The victim said he paid more than N5million to the gang for spiritual cleansing. Meanwhile, the Command also paraded a 24-year-old man who was alleged to have drugged and raped a girl causing serious bodily harm. His arrest was carried out after the parents of the girl reported her deteriorating health. The Police said the suspects will be charged to court after the conclusion of the investigations.
