Police Nab Six Suspected Kidnappers In Delta

Operatives of Delta State Police Command have arrested 27-year-old Aaron Okorigwe and five others for alleged kidnapping along Jakpa Road, Ovwian Aladja, near Warri.     The Police spokesman, DSP Bright Edafe, who confirmed the arrest, said that they could not give a reasonable account of themselves when Police attached to Ekpan Police Station intercepted them in an unregistered Toyota Sienna space bus.   The policemen on suspicion subjected them to a search during which three pump action guns, locally made guns, one long axe, seven expended cartridges, nine live cartridges, native charms, three cutlasses, and two number plates were recovered.   According to Edafe, the suspects, all male, were thoroughly investigated and later discovered to be hoodlums, who operate under the guise of being members of a hunters’ group from Ovwian Aladja, but sneak into Ekpan Community in a Sienna vehicle to rob and kidnap unsuspecting members of the public.
