The Lawmaker representing Akure North and South Federal Constituency, Honourable Adedayo Isaac Omolafe ( Expensive) has congratulated Professor Olugbenga Ige on his appointment as the Vice-Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State.
In a message personally signed by him on Monday,Omolafe cheers enthusiastically the appointment of the Distinguished Professor of Palynology and Palaeoecology
He said, ‘ Your appointment is a further testimony of your resilience, determination, and tenacity of purpose.

Prof. Olugbenga E. Ige holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) degree in Botany from the University of Benin in 1984. He proceeded to Nigeria’s Premier University, the University of Ibadan, where he bagged a Master of Science degree in Botany in the year 1993 and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Botany with specialisation in Palynology & Palaeoecology in 2004. As a teacher and researcher, Prof. Ige has taught in various institutions in Nigeria.
