The government of Saint Lucia has bestowed President Bola Tinubu with the prestigious title of Knight Commander of the Order of Saint Lucia (KCOSL) which is the country’s highest national honour on Monday, June 30.
A post issued on the X handle of the government of Saint Lucia read, “The Government of Saint Lucia is pleased to announce that, the Governor General has conferred the title of Knight Commander of the Order of Saint Lucia (KCOSL) upon His Excellency (HE) Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Grand Commander of the Federal Republic (GCFR) and President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
Tinubu arrived in Saint Lucia on Saturday, June 28 marking the start of a tour that included visits to both Caribbean and South American nations.
During his visit, the president addressed a special joint session of Saint Lucia’s Senate and House of Assembly, where he emphasized the importance of unity among Africans and people of African descent worldwide, stating they share a common destiny and must collaborate to build a brighter future.
