Vice President Kashim Shettima has commissioned the Nigeria House in Davos, Switzerland, marking Nigeria’s debut presence at the World Economic Forum with a dedicated national hub as the 2026 edition of the global gathering begins.
The commissioning, held on the margins of the World Economic Forum, represents a significant milestone as it is the first time Nigeria is setting up a House in Davos to advance its economic and investment interests.
Conceived as a central meeting point, the Nigeria House is expected to facilitate direct engagement with international investors while highlighting priority sectors of the country’s economy.
The space will host high-level investment conversations, foster strategic partnerships and support policy-driven engagements focused on boosting foreign direct investment inflows into Nigeria.
The opening ceremony attracted members of the Nigerian delegation as well as international partners and key stakeholders participating in the forum.
Speaking on the initiative, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Jumoke Oduwole, said Nigeria is showcasing four major investment areas at the forum — solid minerals, sustainable agriculture, the creative industry and the digital economy.
