Campbell made this call on Monday during an interview he granted to Mirror Football as he also expressed his belief in Osimhen to help Arsenal win the Premier League title. Arsenal challenged Manchester City for the Premier League title during the 2022/23 season but fell short with the two strikers they had, Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah. On the other hand, Osimhen scored 26 goals and made four assists in 32 Serie A matches to propel Napoli to their first title in 33 years and netted 31 times in 39 games in all competitions in the 2022/23 season. The Nigerian attacking sensation also became the first African football ever to emerge as a top-scorer in the Serie A in a single season in 125 years. With these achievements, Campbell believes Osimhen will make a perfect striker for Arsenal as they compete for the Premier League title once again. When asked what striker he wanted Arsenal to sign, the former England central defender simply answered by saying “Victor Osimhen”. “But is he going to cost too much money? There’s Ivan (Toney). I think they’re good in other areas of the pitch,” Campbell said. “Center forward is one thing they might need to look at and see the possibilities, see what’s out there, or wait until next season.” Sport 28 mins ago Former Arsenal defender, Sol Campbell, has called on the Gunners to go all out to sign Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen of Napoli in the January transfer window.
