Governor Chukwuma Soludo has announced free and compulsory basic education in public schools across Anambra state.
He made the pronouncement on Thursday, September 21, 2023, adding that education from early childhood care to Junior Secondary Schools was free and compulsory for school-age children in the state.
“Beginning this term, so far as I’m on this chair as governor of Anambra, in public schools owned by government and run by government, children from nursery to primary 6 to JSS 3, none of them will be required, under any circumstances, to pay one kobo,” Soludo said.
