Some suspected killer herdsmen have reportedly murdered a pastor named Segun Adegboyega on his farm in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
Report has it that the pastor was killed on his plantation at Gege village along the Ogbomoso-Iseyin Road, on Monday.
It was gathered that three persons had been arrested in connection with the killing. Those arrested were said to have have been moved into the custody of the Owode Police headquarters.
In response to the killing of the pastor, the Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Ghandi Olaoye, appealed to the people of the town to remain calm.
He assuring them that those responsible for his death would be brought to book. While addressing them on Monday, Olaoye promised to work with security agents to get justice for the family of the deceased.
“As your father, I wish to say this is an ugly situation and it is uncalled for. I have spoken my mind to the Area Commander of Owode Police headquarters who is here with me and I want to assure you that justice would be served.
“I equally sympathise with every one of you. May God continue to watch over you and the entire land of Ogbomoso.”

Oyo has, for long, been a hotbed of killer herdsmen’s attacks followed by uproars and disaffection.
