Some suspected members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Eastern Security Network (ESN), on Tuesday, January 24, attacked some officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) along Akoka-Orlu road, Imo state.
The criminal elements also hijacked the specialized operational vehicle of the NSCDC personnel and headed to an unknown destination, according to a source.
The source noted that the vehicle was painted with the recognized color of the Corps.
He also advised security operatives and motorists to be extraordinarily careful whenever they are operating along the road.
