Terrorists have fled to the neighboring states of Sokoto, Niger, and Katsina where they are currently making life miserable for the locals as the air and land forces of the Nigerian military continue their raid on terrorists in Zamfara State.
The terrorists have inflicted unimaginable suffering and hardship on the villages in Safana, Batsari, and Jibiya in Katsina State that are close to the Rugu forest.
This forced a large number of the villagers to flee to safer areas.
The terrorists have taken over areas in Jibiya at Shekewayen Yan Larba, Garin Labo, Jajjaye and Baranda, down to western Wagigi and Giginyu, and up to the Safana border.
The terrorists were numerous and possessed lethal equipment. Upon their arrival, they immediately went into action and began kidnapping locals and rustling their livestock. People were running from the scene.
Gambo Isa, the Katsina State Police Command’s spokesperson, confirmed that there were strange faces in the Rugu forest near Safana and that their agents were making every effort to find them.
“I won’t go into details because it’s a covert operation. But I’m assuming that the residents of these impacted areas know that, by Allah’s will, we will resolve the issue quickly”, he said.
