President Bola Tinubu on Friday, April 10, celebrated Nigerian industrialist Aliko Dangote on his 69th birthday, praising his contributions to Nigeria and Africa’s economic and industrial development.
In a statement issued by the special adviser on information and strategy to the president, Bayo Onanuga, the president described Dangote as a leading example of African enterprise whose investments have reshaped key sectors of the economy.
“Aliko Dangote’s entrepreneurial vision, resilience, innovation, and commitment to excellence have transformed industries and positioned Nigeria as a hub for large-scale petrochemical and cement production,” Tinubu said.
Tinubu highlighted Dangote’s major industrial projects, including the Dangote Refinery and petrochemical operations, as well as cement production facilities spread across Africa, noting their role in job creation and infrastructure development.
“I salute Dangote for his conglomerate’s role in job creation, infrastructure development, and unwavering belief in the Nigerian economy and its potential,” he said.
Tinubu also commended Dangote’s humanitarian work through the Dangote Foundation, saying it has made a significant impact in health, education, and poverty alleviation.
“I also applaud Dangote’s philanthropic effort, which has significantly impacted lives in health, education, and poverty alleviation.
“As Dangote marks another year, I pray for his continued good health, wisdom, and greater accomplishments in service to Nigeria, Africa, and humanity,” Tinubu added.
