Tinubu lauds NEPZA CEO, Olufemi Ogunyemi on his emergence as WFZO board member

    President Bola Tinubu has extended his congratulations to Dr. Olufemi Ogunyemi, Managing Director and CEO of the Nigerian Export Processing Zone Authority, NEPZA, on his election to the Board of the World Free Zone Organization, WFZO.

    The announcement was made through a statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.

    “The President notes that Ogunyemi’s election to the board of the international body is a testament to the ongoing reforms. These reforms are set to reposition the economy, bringing about a brighter future for all Nigerians,” the statement reads.

    Tinubu praised Ogunyemi for his visionary leadership in positioning the organization as a globally competitive institution and expanding export platforms through increased investment opportunities.

    He also highlighted that his election to the WFZO Board reinforces the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda reforms, which are designed to promote long-term, sustainable growth by attracting foreign direct investment into Nigeria’s real sector.

    “The President urges him to seize the moment of his elevation to burnish the country’s image, showcase the Renewed Hope Agenda on the global stage, and integrate the Nigerian economy into the highly rewarding global economic ecosystem,” the statement concluded.
