The Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, OHCSF, has announced the reassignment of eleven federal permanent secretaries, a move approved by President Bola Tinubu.
According to a statement signed by the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Esther Walson-Jack, Gabriel Aduda has been redeployed from the Ministry of Women Affairs to the Ministry of Defence, while Olumuyiwa Enitan Abel moves from the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction to the Ministry of Education to understudy the Permanent Secretary.
Temitope Peter Fashedemi has been reassigned from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security to the State House, and Dr. Shuaib Mohammed Lamido Belgore transitions from the Ministry of Regional Development to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.
Dr. Marcus Olaniyi Olowolabi moves from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, while Engr. Adebiyi Olusesan Olufunso shifts from the State House to the Ministry of Works.
Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana has been transferred from the Ministry of Defence to the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, and Dr. Yakubu Adam Kofarmata has been reassigned from the Ministry of Works to the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction.
Additionally, Raymond Omenka Omachi moves from the Common Services Office, OHCSF, to the Ministry of Finance (Special Duties), Tinuke Watti transitions from the Ministry of Sports Development to the Ministry of Regional Development, and Dr. Maryam Ismaila Keshinro has been redeployed from the Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs to the Ministry of Women Affairs.
The directive issued by Walson-Jack mandates that all handover and takeover procedures be completed by December 31, 2024.
