Tiwa Savage billed to perform at King Charles’ coronation 

Music act, Tiwa Savage will join other International acts to perform at the coronation of King Charles, taking place on May 6th.

King Charles will be ascending the throne after the passing of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II last year.

The concert, produced by BBC Studios, will hold on the grounds of Windsor Castle as part of a three-day festivity.

Ahead of the event, the singer has met with Camilla, the Queen Consort, while on a visit abroad.

Reacting to the development, Tiwa Savage revealed she’s excited to represent her culture at the ceremony.

“It’s truly an honour to be representing Africa and the Commonwealth at such a historic event.

“I look forward to joining the celebrations and bringing Afrobeats to Windsor Castle for the first time!”, she said.

King Charles III’s coronation concert will feature other artistes including Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, Take That, Paloma Faith, Steve Winwood, Lang Lang, and Nicole Scherzinger.

Indian actress, Sonam Kapoor, will deliver a spoken word performance.

The festivity will include a series of street parties throughout the UK and a volunteering campaign.
