Troops kill 2, arrest 7 terrorist collaborators in Kaduna, Zamfara

    Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA on Sunday, June 21, intensified offensive operations across the North-West, killing two bandits, arresting seven suspected terrorist collaborators and foiling criminal activities in Kaduna and Zamfara states.

    Troops of the 4 Demonstration Battalion neutralised two bandits in Lere Village, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

    The troops also recovered rustled cows, an AK-47 rifle, a magazine and ammunition during an operation launched in response to cattle rustling activities in the area.

    In Zamfara State, troops apprehended four suspected collaborators linked to notorious bandit kingpin, Gwaska Dan Karami, during a cordon-and-search operation in Birnin Magaji.

    The suspects were identified as Alhaji Yahya Hoji, Abdullahi Dan Tsabaro, Kabiru Dan Gulgule and Kalala.

    Three additional suspects linked to terrorist activities were arrested during the screening of returning pilgrims at Gusau International Airport.

    The military reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining the offensive against bandits and terrorists across the North-West.

    It also urged members of the public to continue supporting security agencies with credible information to enhance ongoing efforts to restore peace and protect communities in the region.
