No fewer than three persons were injured, on Thursday, January 19, when a twin explosion rocked a rally of the All Progressiives Congress (APC) at the Rumuwoji Playground in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
Two of those injured are women, all of whom were rushed to the hospital for medical attention, PUNCH reports.
Rivers state’s publicity Secretary of the APC, Darlington Nwauju, confirmed the incident, describing it as unfortunate.
The Police spokesperson in Rivers state, Iringe-Koko, was aware of the incident and she said details will be gathered.
