On the evening of September 11, two students from the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, lost their lives in a tragic road accident along the Akure-Ondo Expressway.
It was gathered that the victims, who were said to be on a motorcycle, were reportedly crushed by a speeding vehicle leading to their deaths on the spot.
The National Association of Nigerian Students Joint Campus Council, Ondo State Chapter, confirmed the incident in a statement on Thursday, September 12.
The statement was signed by the association’s chairman, General Secretary and Public Relations Officer.
The statement read, “This loss is a heavy blow to the Ondo State student community.
“Their tragic deaths remind us of the fragility of life.
“These were young individuals with promising futures, and their loss is deeply felt.”
