A vehicle belonging to the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) was gutted by fire on Tuesday, November 1, at Adeola Odeku street, Victoria island, Lagos state.
Although details concerning the main cause of the fire are still sketchy at the time of filing this report, however, men of the state fire service are currently working to quench the fire.
The RRS, on Tuesday afternoon, also confirmed the incident, stating that lives were lost but failed to give the specific number of persons who died in the incident, according to The Punch.
RRS, in a tweet, stated that, “RRS vehicle on patrol of Adeola Odeku was involved in a fire incident on Tuesday morning.
“Lives were lost as a result of the incident but our officers escaped with injuries.
“While we pray for the repose of the souls of those whose lives were lost in the incident, we appreciate those who have been calling and sending messages to our commander, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi.
“Thank you for your concerns.”
