US fines British Airways $1.1m over failure to refund passengers

British Airways has been hit with a fine of $1.1m by United States (US) regulators.

The United States Transportation Department issued the punishment after it said the airline failed to provide timely refunds to passengers for flights to and from America during the COVID-19 global pandemic.

The British Airways has disputed the allegations.
