Veteran NTA broadcaster, Aisha Bello Mustapha is dead

    Aisha Bello Mustapha, a seasoned broadcaster and former General Manager of Nigerian Television Authority, NTA Parliament is dead.

    The news of her passing away was announced in a statement released by her family, on Monday, December 11.

    Aisha, renowned for her role as one of the prominent casters on NTA Network News at 9 PM during the ’90s and early 20s, had a distinguished career spanning thirty-five years.

    A statement from her family reads: “Innalilahi wa inna Alaihin Rajiun. May Allah forgive our Mother Hajia Aishat Bello Mustapha.

    “Mama indeed you are a very kind-hearted person. We will miss you and hope you are enjoying Rahma. Funeral Prayer to hold in central mosque Abuja 1 pm on Monday, 11th December 2023.”

    Details surrounding the cause of her death remain undisclosed at the time of this report.

    Aisha, after an extensive 35-year tenure with NTA, retired in May 2022, concluding a remarkable career within the broadcasting industry.

    Her versatile skill set spanned journalism, television production, broadcasting, editing, and her notable role as the General Manager of NTA Parliament.

    Aisha’s professionalism and distinctive style solidified her as one of NTA’s most esteemed voices, leaving an indelible mark on the broadcast industry.

    She began her journey at NTA, rising to the role of Assistant Director of News and later becoming the General Manager of NTA Parliament and also featuring as one of the well-known broadcasters on NTA Network News during the ’90s and early 2000s.

    She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Ahmadu Bello University, ABU, Zaria, Kaduna state.

    Her funeral prayer has been scheduled to hold at the National Mosque in Abuja by 1 pm on Monday, December 11.
