Unknown gunmen, on Tuesday, February 7, attacked the residence of the spokesperson of the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP), Ikenga Ugochinyere, in Imo state.

The latest attack is coming barely three weeks after the first attack on Ugochinyere’s residence by gunmen which led to the death of four persons including his uncle.

Ugochinyere, who’s also the house of representatives candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Ideato north/south federal constituency of Imo state in the forthcoming elections, raised the alarm about the latest attack on his residence, via an SoS message sent out on his social media platform on Tuesday.

“We are under attack again. My house is under again by unknown gunmen. They came with explosives and heavy gunfire,” he wrote.

It is worth noting that on Saturday, January 14, a motorcade conveying unknown gunmen invaded Ugochinyere’s private apartment in Akokwa region of Imo state, and set the building ablaze.

The unknown gunmen also killed his uncle and three other persons.
