Another Bomb from Jibrin

    0

Abdulmumin Jibrin, former Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation, Tuesday, yet again exposed the underlying corruption that has been going on in the House of Representatives, with the release of more documents to buttress his claims that the 2016 budget was padded.
In the latest documents, Jibrin presents the Deputy Speaker Lasun, who chaired the committee that approved the final House version of the budget, arbitrarily earmarked funds for “fictitious” projects to different lawmakers by embedding them in genuine projects proposed by the executive for ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs)
For instance in one of the documents, the Deputy Speaker was purported to have built projects worth N594m into the Ministries of Agriculture, Labour and Trade and Investment as well as the National Boundary Commission for Chief Whip, Alhassan Doguwa and Deputy House Leader, Buba Jibrin.
Jibrin, who represents Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency, Kano State, has been at loggerhead with the leadership of the House since he was sacked last week as Chairman of the House’s Appropriation Committee.
He has since then released series of documents to show that the 2016 budget was a fraud.
