Days after a nurse who treated Patrick Sawyer, the Liberian who died of the Ebola Virus Disease in Lagos died, the Minister for Health, Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu announced on Monday that another nurse has tested positive for the deadly virus.
The Minister confirmed that the nurse tested positive over the weekend, thus bringing the total number of confirmed Ebola cases in Nigeria to 10, including Patrick Sawyer and the nurse that died last week.
Professor Chukwu also confirmed that 177 primary and secondary contacts of the late Sawyer have been placed under surveillance.
