The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) on Sunday, September 26th, 2020 said that ten more students of Bethel Baptist School in Kaduna State have been released bringing the number of students left in the kidnappers’ den to 11.
According to the report by Punch, this was revealed by the Vice President of the association northern zone (19 Northern States and Abuja) and chairman of the Kaduna State chapter, Rev. Joseph John Hayab.
He said, “Ten more students of Baptist High School were released this (Sunday) afternoon. We have 11 now with bandits.
“We are thanking all Nigerians for their prayers and support.
“We are trusting God that the rest will be released very soon. All have been reunited with their parents.”
It can be recalled that The Street Journal reported that 10 students of Bethel Baptist School in Kaduna were released on Saturday, September 18 after spending 74 days captivity of terrorists, with 21 others still being held.
Hayab had said, “10 students were released this (Saturday) evening and have reunited with their parents. We are now hoping for the remaining 21 who are still with the bandits.”
The Nigeria Police Force last week paraded three masterminds who were in the gang of kidnappers that abducted over 100 students of Bethel Baptist School in July this year.
One of the suspects confessed that they were 25 in the gang of kidnappers that carried out the operation.
